Advisors' Opinion:- [By Smith On Stocks]
Using my assumptions, the common of Agenus might be worth about $7.00 per share in early 2014 based on the royalties from the Glaxo vaccines and the net operating loss carry forward even if every other asset in the company were valued at zero. However, there may be substantial value in Agenus' internal vaccine programs in recurrent and newly diagnosed glioblastoma and the genital herpes vaccine. Based on a comparison to peer companies like Northwest Biotherapeutics (NWBO) and ImmunoCellular Therapeutics (IMUC), I believe that the internal programs at Agenus currently may be worth $150 million or $4.45 per share. Adding this to the value of the MAGE A-3 vaccine could produce a stock price of $11.00 in early 2014.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Ben Levisohn]
The early read is mixed. Shareholders have seemed to lose patience with companies whose investment cycle seems overly extended, aggressive, or risky. For example, many shareholders have exited MSM as its investment strategy became clearer and more dilutive all the while that growth was slowing. On the other hand, investors in both 3M and EMR have taken things in more balanced stride, willing to take higher growth levels as a payback for bigger spend. It a tricky situation because statistically companies who are able to raise margins and ROIC the most are more likely to have stocks that outperform peers. But there are examples of companies that have invested heavily, driven to higher growth levels, and been able to more than offset the higher spend with operating leverage from the higher volume growth. DistributorsW.W. Grainger (GWW) andFastenal (FAST) are two notable examples.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Maxx Chatsko]
1. Renewable Energy Group (NASDAQ: REGI )
REG surpassed $1 billion in annual revenue for the first time in its history last year while continuing to grow in every important category. The company sold 188.4 million gallons of biodiesel last year -- about 20% of the country's 2012 output -- and is poised to continue capturing the market's upward trajectory. It's not difficult to see why with 225 million gallons of annual (MMga) production capacity throughout the country and 150 MMga under construction. - [By Maxx Chatsko]
The third well-researched pick was Renewable Energy Group (NASDAQ: REGI ) . The nation's largest biodiesel producer was a recently public company at the time and probably got caught in the punishment unleashed upon industrial biotech companies that failed to live up to their early promises. I just didn't think it was justified for REG. Biodiesel is produced in a relatively simple process. Better yet, the company was growing and poised to continue growing with capacity additions looming. Investors finally caught on after REG notched its first year with $1 billion in sales in 2012, and sent shares 120% higher in 2013.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By John Divine]
Ohio-based data solutions company Teradata (NYSE: TDC ) was the victim of Morgan Stanley'sinfluence today, falling 7.5% after the investment bank removed the stock from its "Best Ideas" list. The drop seems especially steep, given the fact that the rationale behind the negativity stemmed from concerns over the stock's momentum, a factor that longer-term investors are not usually inclined to weigh heavily. Teradata is set to report quarterly results later this month, on April 29.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Chuck Carnevale]
Vectren Corp. (VVC): A Low Growth Utility
Our first example looks at Vectren Corp. historical earnings, a utility with a 15-year historical earnings growth rate that is below our 3% threshold established in Part 1. Note that fair valuation is calculated using Graham Dodd Formula (GDF) deriving a fair value PE of 13.8 (slightly below, but close to our PE 15 standard). However, a normal PE of 16 has been historically applied by Mr. Market. Therefore, valuation falls between a PE of 13.8 to 16, or well within a range of normalcy.
